ArchiTeam Board Elections Now Open

At the 2026 Annual General Meeting, there will be two vacancies as two directors have completed their 2-year term. Both have decided to renominate, and we have had one additional nomination. See our candidates for the election below.

We are pleased to have received several nominations for these positions, and now it’s time for members to vote.
Below, you’ll find links to each candidate’s Nomination Statement, providing insights into their experience, goals, and vision for ArchiTeam.

Voting Details:

Voting is open to all ArchiTeam Cooperative shareholders, with one vote per shareholder (member).
All current shareholders will receive an email (via Survey Monkey) with a unique link to cast their vote.
Voting closes on Wednesday 18 November, at 10:00 am AEDT.

Nominees

SAM PERVERSI-BROOKS

Perversi-Brooks Architects

Sam Perversi-Brooks is an architect, Director and Chair of the ArchiTeam Board, bringing broad experience across large collaborative practices and small-scale architectural practice. He leads the Tasmanian studio of NH Architecture, overseeing the team and delivery of projects across education, research, commercial and civic sectors. He also runs Perversi-Brooks Architects, which he has operated for over 10 years, focusing on residential, educational and community projects.

Sam holds a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from RMIT University, as well as a Diploma of Building Design and Drafting. His postgraduate work was recognised with the Australian Institute of Architects Graduation Prize and the RMIT Anne Butler Medal for design excellence. He has also taught at RMIT University and been a guest critic at several Australian universities.

A member of ArchiTeam for many years, Sam previously served on the CPD Committee for over four years and has been a Director and Chair of the Board for the past two years. Based in Hobart, he is committed to strengthening ArchiTeam’s presence in Tasmania and supporting connections between architects across Australia. Drawing on his experience as both a leader in a large practice and a small-practice architect, Sam brings continuity, a collaborative approach and a strong commitment to the cooperative’s mission of supporting small-practice architects.

KAREN ERDOS

Karen Erdos Architects

Karen Erdos is an accomplished architect with 24 years of experience, including 17 years practising in Sydney. A certified Passive House designer for the past six years, she is passionate about environmentally responsible architecture and has strong connections across the architecture and sustainability sectors.

Having served on the ArchiTeam Board for two years, Karen brings valuable governance experience, a balanced perspective to Board discussions and a strong understanding of the Cooperative. She has been instrumental in ArchiTeam’s recent advocacy campaign concerning changes to architects’ regulations and is leading the 2027 Conference Committee. Her previous Board experience with Sydney-based not-for-profit Pocket City Farms further strengthens her governance background.

Karen is committed to growing ArchiTeam’s presence in Sydney and strengthening relationships with the Australian Passive House Association (APHA) and the broader Passive House community. She values the opportunity to contribute beyond her own practice and support ArchiTeam’s mission to empower small practice architects to thrive.

ANTONY DIMASE

DiMase Architects

Antony DiMase FRAIA is a registered architect and director of DiMase Architects, established in 2002. A University of Melbourne architecture graduate with a Master of Lighting from Queensland University of Technology, he specialises in thoughtful, sustainable design, building retrofits and adapting existing buildings for contemporary needs. His work spans residential, commercial and educational projects, balancing design quality, environmental responsibility and practical project delivery.

Antony was a founding director and is the current secretary of Architects Declare Australia, contributing to the organisation’s governance and advocacy for sustainable architectural practice. He is also involved with the University of Melbourne’s Retrofit Lab and has taught architecture at Melbourne Polytechnic. Alongside Justine Costigan, he co-hosts the Light Cities and Architecture podcast, exploring the relationship between light, cities and the built environment.

Recently appointed to the Building Committee of Open House Melbourne, Antony brings his sustainability expertise to the not-for-profit organisation. Awarded Fellowship of the Australian Institute of Architects in 2020, he is committed to advancing sustainable practice, fostering clear communication and delivering meaningful outcomes for clients and communities.
